Privacy Policy
PageOps ("the app", "we") is a private tool run by the owner of a small number of Facebook Pages ("the operator"). It publishes Reels to those Pages and reads their statistics. This policy explains what data the app handles through the Meta Graph API, what it is used for, and how it can be deleted.
Who uses the app
Only the operator. The app has no public sign-up and no Facebook Login for other people. It acts only on Pages the operator owns and manages ("the Pages").
Data the app handles
- Access tokens for the operator's own Facebook account and the Pages. They let the app act on those Pages.
- Content we publish: the videos, captions and cover images the operator uploads to the Pages.
- Page and post statistics: aggregate numbers such as views, plays, reach, watch time, retention, reactions, shares, follows and follower counts for the Pages and their posts.
- Comments on the Pages' posts: the comment text and the commenter's name and ID as returned by the Graph API, so the operator can read and reply to comments as the Page.
The app does not collect data from people's own profiles, friends lists, messages, contact details or location, and it does not read any Page the operator does not own.
How the data is used
- To upload, schedule, edit and delete posts on the Pages.
- To measure how each video performs, compare formats, and plan future videos.
- To read comments and reply to them as the Page.
The data is not used for advertising, profiling individuals, or any purpose other than running the Pages.
Where it is stored and for how long
- Access tokens are stored only on the operator's own computer, never in shared code or public files. They are kept until the operator revokes them or removes the app.
- Statistics are saved as aggregate numbers per post (no names or IDs of viewers or commenters) and kept for as long as they are useful for planning content.
- Comment text and commenter names or IDs are read when needed and are not saved in the app's records.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade any data. Data is shared only:
- with Meta, because the app works through Meta's Graph API;
- with service providers the operator uses to run the tool, such as an AI assistant that helps analyse aggregate statistics, under their own privacy and security terms;
- when required by law.
Security
Tokens and secrets are kept out of source code and public files. Access to the app's computer and accounts is limited to the operator.
Your choices and deletion
If you commented on one of the Pages, you can delete or edit your comment on Facebook at any time. To ask for any data about you to be deleted, follow the steps on the Data Deletion page.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly handle data about children beyond public comments on the Pages.
Meta Platform Terms
The app follows the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
